Volunteer Opportunities

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for both adults and youth.
If you are interested in volunteering for one of these projects, please contact us.

HBOT
Center

We are raising funds for the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center. This Center treats veterans at NO COST to the veterans and helps treat soldiers returning from war with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other brain injuries.  If you would like to donate or solicit funds for HBOT with Unit 58, please contact us.  The HBOT Center is also looking for donations like baked goods (veterans are very hungry after treatment) and gas cards for the veterans at their center. We also provide dinner once a week as well as free transportation to and from the airport for veterans undergoing treatment. If interested in donating these items or helping with dinner or driving, please contact us to find out when Post58/Unit 58 is next dropping items off.

KNOW A SOLDIER WHO IS RETURNING HOME?

Unit 58 would like to help welcome home veterans who are returning home from combat.  If you know someone who is returning home or if you would like to be a part of the welcome home committee, please contact us.

Youth
Programs

We have a variety of youth programs including:

Boy's State—a week-long leadership program in June for students who have just completed their junior year of high school.

Oratorical Contest—a scholarship program for all high school students where they prepare a number of speeches based on the constitution and can win college scholarships. This contest typically takes place in March.

Legion Baseball and more!

If you are interested in helping out with one of these programs please contact us.
